Four steps
From your old app to your first booking.
-
1
Export your clients
Every app can export a CSV file of your clients. The wizard shows the steps for each one.
-
2
Import them
Open Bring in your history. Connect Google Calendar and every past and upcoming session comes in, then import your client list. bookbirdy lines up the columns, shows what will happen, and only then saves.
-
3
Bring your contract and set up booking
Upload your Word contract, add your session types and open your first dates. A checklist on Today keeps track.
-
4
Tell your families
Send one email with your new booking page to the families you imported. You see everyone it goes to and press Send.
Then tell your families
One email with your new booking page.
After you import, bookbirdy drafts a short, warm note with your booking link. You see every family it goes to, change the words and who is on the list, and press Send. Nothing goes out on its own, and families who have unsubscribed are never listed.
- Each family is greeted by name
- Families already told are marked, so no one gets it twice
- An unsubscribe link is always added

Your first week
A checklist on Today keeps you on track.
Once your families are in, Today shows what is left: your contract, your session types, payments, your first dates, and telling your families. Each step ticks off by itself when you have done it.
Questions
Questions about switching
Will importing overwrite anything?
No. Families are matched by email. A family already in bookbirdy only gets what is missing, and importing the same file twice adds nothing twice.
Can I bring over payment history?
Yes, if you can export invoices or payments with each client's email. Each paid invoice becomes a past session, so lifetime spend and who is ready to rebook are right from the start.
Can I bring my calendar history too?
Yes. Connect Google Calendar and every past and upcoming session comes in. After you import your client list, one tap matches each session to its family by email, then phone, then name, and only when exactly one family fits. Anything left, you place by hand.
What about my contract?
Upload your Word contract or paste plain text, and it becomes a contract template that families sign when they book. Contracts already signed stay with your old app.
Do I have to leave my old app right away?
No. Import now, try bookbirdy for 14 days free with no card, and move your bookings over when you are ready.
What if my app is not listed?
Any CSV file with an email column works. Names, phones, addresses, notes, kids, labels and past sessions come across when your file has them.
Moving from somewhere else?
